Closing 2021 and Embracing a New Chapter

13 December 2021

Our capacity to adjust to disruption and uncertainty has never been challenged as much as it has in the last twenty-one months. March 2022 will mark two years of living and working through COVID-19 and the overwhelming domino impact it has wrought on our personal lives, businesses, economy and social fabric.

First off, I want to acknowledge that for many people, the past years have been incredibly hard. Businesses have struggled and jobs have been lost under the weight of the economic ramifications of this pandemic. Lives have been claimed by COVID-19 and many families are dealing with the immeasurable loss of loved ones. Our hearts and thoughts are with you.

As we close off 2021 and as a new year beckons, it is understandable that we are all hoping for relief and a return of some normality – a ‘new better’. It seems fitting to acknowledge how far we have come and the tremendous ability we all possess to adapt and remain resilient despite the adversity. You have pivoted, you have realigned work and home life, many have completely reimagined business models and ways of work to find opportunity in the risks.

The past year has also unequivocally shown the importance of data-driven insights for both our clients and in our own business which has led to better decisions, staying ahead of the curve. To do this, we need to harness the power of data and analytics to inform our decision making, realign our business and service delivery models, and to make better decisions about risk and opportunity.

As Aon, we’re here to help enrich the lives and livelihoods of people and businesses by enabling better decisions around all aspects of risk, whether in your business or your personal lives. We want you to know that we are fully committed to really understanding what makes you unique, so that we can help you navigate through the uncertain times ahead.

We also recognise that the constant barrage of bad news around the pandemic and prevailing economic conditions is often overwhelming. That’s why we choose to work with you, to proactively find solutions, and not just identify problems. As Aon, we bring you the very best of our fact-based insights, processes, skilled people and technology platforms to inform your decision making, and to be by your side during these disruptive times.

We encourage you to engage with your Aon professional broker to get the answers and insights you need to navigate the way forward in 2022. We want you to know that we are built for these times and that our skilled people and data-driven insights are fully at your disposal as we close off on the year and steer our way to a better 2022.

We wish you and your loved ones a peaceful, joyful festive season and a new year filled with opportunity, and better times.

Take care, stay safe and go well.
